Im completely at a loss...ive just received the above drive and i have installed it as per the instructions turned the computer on and guess what...xp wont acknowledge it.

Im a total newby retard so i really need some help...quick please

Im just a squirrel tring to get a nut !!!!!

I would recheck the IDE connector cable and jumper settings on the drive. Sounds like a poor connection somewhere.

Thanks for the reply...i have sorted the problem now.

I had to set the pioneer drive as the primary and my other drive as the secondary and xp picked it up right away.

Im just a squirrel tring to get a nut !!!!!
