I resently purchased and installed a new Pioneer dvr 107. I used a hacked firware to burn all media at the 8x speed. Everything worked fine until after I installed XP service pack 2. I ran out of cheap blank dvds ( -rs) and purchased some new BeAll from merrit line. They would not work. I purchased some imation +r and -r. The +rs work fine but the -rs will not. They go have part way through the burn with DVDX Copy and are finalize before the movie is coppied. When this happens, exployer registers the DVD as a CD player. This is recitified when I reboot. I have uninstalled the burner, uninstalled XP service pack 2 and reinstalled the official firmware. Still no luck. Any suggestions?
