i am new at this dvd back up and wondering if anyone can tell me, when i put my ID and PASSWORD in is that an activation? the user guide said i can only do it three times. i never went online or registered it. please explain activation and how do i get a new password and id ?

Yes ... but you only need to activate if you format your pc.

No, that's not true. (pre-321 closing doors) A new license had 10 activations. If you ran out of the 10 they reset it to 3. (Now that 321 is closed) Before they closed the doors they reset all activations to 10 (some sites say 75) ... either way you can still activate. I can still activate via online activations, some have to call. If you have to call, you have to call Ireland (the country)
