pioneer and nec burner firmware

i have two burners. the device manager sees both but they will not read anything.
i tried to update pioneer driver but it says drive not found. what do i do now.
is drivers put on burner drive or hdd.what dvd burners work with most software.

Hi cedarwood, Go into your device manager and remove both drive if you are having trouble with both of them. Then reboot and let Windows find them and reinstall the drives with the correct drivers. That should straighten things out.
