Hello!
I backed up on DVD a 3GB programs folder. Then I testded the DVD readability and it is OK. I needed to free up space on HD so I deleted some 2.5GB of my software from HD. When I tryed to recover one program I discovered that data is still on DVD but the file allocation table is misleading. I already once had this situation with one CD. Then the CDFS shift was some 300 sectors. I determined exact amount of shift by looking at the begining of files in hex view, looked up stated location of some very important files and recovered them (with ISObuster) by reading actual sectors. I wonder is there any program which allows to read all files from DVD with file system shift? Otherwise I will have to reinstall all programs. I cann't find anything on the Internet about this problem because probably I don't know the terminology.
Used softeare: Nero 6
Used hardware: LG DVD-ROM (GSA4082)
Sory for my bad English.
Thank you everybody!
