please tell me how to convert a wav or mp3 file to dts sudio file. i use surcode but in my dvd stand alone player it's no sound in surround speakers. wht i do wrong?

One of the problems that you might face here is the differing sample rates.
What type of DTS Audio file are you trying to create here, as DTS-WAV for Surround CD's is a different format to .dts for DVD.

To make a DTS-CD, which will probably need to be played back in your DVD player requires that the amp you are connected to has a suitable DTS decoder.
If using SurCode for this, you must also set the samplerate to 44.1KHz as well - not 48KHz. 48KHz files are only used in DVD-Video authoring. So, I suspect it is DTS-CD you want?

What you need to do in this case is this:
1/. Forget all about using MP3 files. These have already been through a lossy encoder, and if you try to make these into DTS-CD, you will first need to turn them back into WAV, and then recompress - which is going to sound dreadful.
Also, for DTS to work in Surround, you need a surround mix - 6 separate files, all mono. L/R/C/LFE/Ls/Rs.

plese don't be worry, i just move my question on audio section of forum
i just use a standalonedvd player and a home theatre 5.1 set of speakers, 44,1 khz file obtainned from a process in which i use besweet, besure and surcode cd pro dts 1.0.20

Okay - now we know what you are running, it should be fairly easy to get you happening.

Only reason you got moved was so that others might be able to help you too. That is all.

This WAV file you obtained - was it originally a stereo one, and if so have you upmixed it into Surround yet?
You need to do that first. Just using SurCode will not do this job for you, although considering the price of your encoder I imagine you are fully set up for surround.
