When I ran fdisk on this drive the partition info said there was a pri dos partition, an extended dos partition and a non-dos partition. I was able to delete the pri and the non but when attempting to delete the ext it indicated it could not be deleted because it contained logical dos drives but when I tried to delete the logical dos drive it said there were no drives defined.??
The extended partition is using %74 of my 40 gig.
All I want to do is wipe the drive clean, any suggestions? By the way the drive came out of an E-machine.

Hey

Create a Primary partition, again, then delete the Extentded Partition, then delete the Primary Partition, then re-create Primary Partition using maximum size.
