just got an img file, tried to rename it to iso, burned it, work in the comp, doesnt work in the standalone dvd players, anyone have any ideas what the problem might be, ive heard sometimes changing the file extension to iso wont work

If the ISO is in anything other than VOB/IFO/BUP format it won't play in a standalone player. You can use GSpot to find out what format the file is in:

Try using Ultra ISO to view the contents of an Image file if you do not wish to decompress it first.

In what format? VOB/IFO/BUP?

Have you tried mounting the image in Daemon Tools and burning it from there?
