Yes, with DVD Decrypter (or even SmartRipper, for AVIs) there is no obstacle to any backup :-)
Should always use it, even for Shrink - it's much easier on the DVD reader.

i have tried every thing. DVD Shrink, DVD encryter. i will screen shot the error its giving me. Were u able to back up it up??

Yup ... ripped with Decrypter and ran it through CloneDVD2.

It would have been easier if you said you were getting a "cyclic redundancy check" error.
You problem is not copy protections, it's a dirty, scratched, or bad factory disc.

its says fail to read d:/, but i backup other movies and it worked. the disk isnt scratch, its brand new.

oh sorry, u know im a newbie. Sorry, im gonna take the movie back. i do see the disk has like a water spot underneth the label. it looks like a air bubble. once again sorry, but thank u very much for ur guys help. i have learned something new today. thanks for ur skills.

That water spot can just be the semi metallic spacer in the dual layers of the disc, because its a form of polaroid it can make the disc look damaged. If it plays OK in your DVD Player, there is nothing wrong with it. The term Cyclic Redundancy check, is usually a game copy error. It means your drive is unable to read the encrypted data. This usually happens copying games because of bad sectors that are very intricate, that only an EFM capable drive will read correctly. Man on Fire is a relatively new movie, and studios constantly are devising new tougher forms of encryption. Its either that or your drive needs updating.
