Hi.

When i follow the precedures to end up with a working copy of a DVD it usually begins to skip a little toward the end. This is kinda frustrating cause it takes a lot of time to make these things.

Could it be cause by a fragmented harddrive? I have a large drive and it would take forever and a day to defrag.

Is it possible to defrag just a section big enough to fit a DVD?

Could the labels be causing the skipping?

I've experienced skipping using Datasafe Classic Gen 4 - Bulkpaq Gen 3 & 4 and Bulkpaq Yellowtop (i think). I burn using Pioneer 104 and my systen specs are.

P4 1800
512 DDR
120GB HDD

I have experienced skipping only on a bad DVD drive (ie dirty lens)which sounds like what you have

A large hard drive won't take long to defragment, you should do this regularly or everything about your computer will slow down.

If it is taking ages to defragment just do it in safe mode
