my standalone will only play the fbi warnings and a few prevews of a burned dvd..when it comes time for the menu to appear the screen goes blank and nothing happens...i cant fast forward or skip scenes to play the movie..whats up....i use shrink then nero and have never had anything like this in the past 4 months of burning.

I've had this same problem on more than one occasion. I finally stopped using DVD Shrink/Nero 6.6 and started using CloneDVD 2 exclusively. No more problems. In fact, I have backed up a movie using Shrink and CloneDVD 2 and conpared them on my 35" toshiba. I can't see any difference in quality.
