After i burn onto a dvd-r, is there anyway i can check without having to watch the entire movie if there are any skips, problems with the burned dvd-r

Open Nero CD-DVD speed and do a read test - if the lines are smooth - the disc is probable good. If the lines drop down and are unstable, the disc will probable be skiping and freezing in those areas... And if there is a read failure... throw the disc away..

You will soon learn and see how the tollerance of your dvd player is. Some play lesser quality burns.
