Hi i'm having problems with nero and dual layer disks:

I used dvd decrypter and dvd shrink v2.3 to create a video_ts file. I selected the option in dvd shrink for dual layer disks (8.5g). I tried to burn with Nero(latest version)but it keeps saying that the "compilation will not fit on the disk". I tried compressing the file more and then attempted to burn again with the same outcome. Here is the log of the error. Hope you great guys can help.

Simple question, but . . . you converted the vts files to an .iso before attempting the burn, right?

No, I was under the impression that this was not neccesary using Nero. What program would I need to convert the files to a .iso.

I made the iso file but none of my programs will burn it. Have discovered however that they cannot read the disk properly as it is saying that the dvd+r dl (Traxdata) is a cd??? Has anyone else encountered this problem? The drive I am using is the NEC 2510A. I updated the firmware from the NEC website but it has not solved the problem. The windows XP service pack 2 is installed on my pc, could that have anything to do with it?

sp2 can cause problems. although everyone seems to love Nero, there are a lot of complaints about it - features not working, etc.
