actually is there any way of being able to backup / copy games without a modchip or slide card? ( without a program that is )

you need a mod or swap magic to play backups. $34 for a slide card and swap magic is a ripoff. http://www.consolesource.com has them cheaper. i recommend getting the fliptop and swap magic, just under $40 with shipping.
