can anybody help?I heard recently that by playing dvd movies made at home on a dvd player can damage the dvd player`s laser beam.Only orginal disks should be played in order to avoid damage to the dvd player.?????????

Have you read any threads? If that were true, no of use would be backing up our dvds.
