NEED A N ORIGINAL C DRIVE

when halo 2 came out i wanted to get it with live so inorder to do that i need to get rid of my modded c drive and get an original c drive, so i went to the computer where i had previously backedup the files and i find that the folder no longer exists. Can someone please send me a C drive. email me here ididntreadtherules@afterdawn.com

use an auto installer disc (many available)
format the drive
re install ms dash and nothing else
then lock the drive

how do i use this autoinstaller? and what is an autoinstaller?

i believe he refers to a dvd tool which you use to boot the xbox with.

for example, i use the 'slayer' autoinstaller dvd.
when you boot off the disc you then go through the menu and format the c drive using the 'retail' option which will copy over the original ms dashboard and then you reboot.

you can find lots of different autoinstaller images (iso) with bittorrent.

you just need to sit down and search google.

once you do that, you need to also lock your hard drive, otherwise live won't work

I have a soft mod which is evox and i need the original c drive so that i can replace the other persons backup with my backup, then replace the original c drive with my xbox c drive. Is there an easier way to do this?

why would you need an original c drive?

if you use evox it has built in ftp.

if you boot the slayer disc off of the other xbox, you can ftp into it and copy whatever you want.

so backup your c using FlashFXP and ftping into your xbox and then load an autoinstaller like slayer, ftp into the other box and copy it to c.

i am talking in the sense that i only have one xbox and i need the c drive to replace the modded c drive so taht i can play xbox live

ok you'll need to get hold of an autoinstaller like slayers autoinstaller

load the retail format option and it will restore the msdashboard onto the system.

you will need to add it to the menu on evox because your modded bios won't load it automatically.

you also need to lock your hard drive
which you can do from the autoinstaller.

live should then work.

thanks for all your help guys but in the end i tried a different modd my friend was trying to aid me with well i followed all the directions but in the end i got an error 13 so now i need to get a chip good thing my friend knows about chips and how to install a certian one. I certianly think that i would have been better off tho if i didnt listen to him and did the slayers auto installer well thanks for all your help guys!

in the end as long as you get a working xbox - who cares?


and if you don't want to rely on friends for xbox help just sit down for a couple of days and read everything you can on them.

that's what most of us did.
