I have a ram dvd recorder (makes file types VRO, BUP, and IFO....the VRO file is the main movie.....when i try burner my home videos with nero it says the file type is invalid...????....any ideas??

Persy,
I too faced this, Nero has an update to fix the invalid file thing. It works well.(but to slow) I use Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 SE,It will tell you that it can't use the audio. Don't worry, it shoots the video out on to your hard drive with the audio into a DVD folder.
My Ulead MovieFactory was free in a bundle. I'm shure you can find a copy, if you don't have one already.

yeah thanks alot....i got that program with my dvd video camara.......i also found a different way and it seems pretty quick although i have only tried short clips about 300mb......i know use TMPGEncDVDAuthor....it works nice and easy by converting the vro into some vobs and ifo ect.....it works pretty good
i'm gunna try ur way too to see which way i like better

I've got even a better way I have a sharp DVRW350U I just copy the files recorded to my DVD-RW to my harddrive and then open the folder and just rename the vro file to vbo and then put all files in a folder named VIDEO_TS and then just burn to a DVD-r or +R. it's just that simple.

Ok you guys are right..doesn't work but rename the file with mpeg as the extension and open the new file with a program called dvd lab select>simple movie>demux> after Demux drag and drop audio and video files to the timeline window>then click the compile dvd and it creates a folder called DVDVOLUME and a sub directory called VIDEO_TS AND AUDIO_TS with your movie inside and read to burn.

yeah i tried urs and it works and i have a method of my own.....they both take a good hour but i thought i could do it quicker but i guess not....so everything is fine...thanks
