Copy DVD movie

I am trying to copy DVD movie into DVD-R disc. I have problem as the neroexpress software always hang, the last time i used DVD+R it hang at 27% while writing this time it hangs at 5% using DVD-R. I am using TDK DVD 16N Burner to do the burning aan using copy and backup entire DVD movie of the neroexpress software catelogue. Can anyone advice what i am doing wrong.

Is this a factory original disc or a copy?

What brand/type media are you using? Burn speed?

Yes i burn at 4x and have tried to burn on DVD+rw and have no problem it is because of the brand of the DVD disc used

i used both the brand imation and sony . However i have burn suceefully with TDK own +R disc

Chances are that the Sony and Imation were made by a mediocre manufacturer, consequently there are a host of problems that can occur when using such media.

We can see how my assuptions hold up by identifying the manufacturer of all the media you've used both good and bad. DVD Identifier is a great little app for this so here's the link:

I'm guessing the Imation, if it's -R, will ID as low quality CMC Mag and possibly the Sony media as well. The TDK +R might ID as RICOHJPNR01 which is good stuff.

with is identifier how do i know whether a disc is suiiable to the burner

If the media is of a format that your burner supports then it's suitable but there's no way to know with absolute cetainty how well it'll perform until you burn a few then scan the disc for errors with something like DVD Info Pro or Nero CD/DVD Speed :)
