We need more information.

1) Do you have a firewall?
2) What is your advertised speed?
3) What BT client do you use?
4) Is this with 1 torrent, or all other torrents?
5) If it is with all other torrents, how many seeds and peers do you get around average?

Everyone is entitled to their own true opinion. Either respect that or don't.

I have McAfee firewall and I use Bit Tornado. I get slow speeds with all torrents. On average i get 8 peeers and 18 seeds. The light always stays yellow.
I have never seen it turn green. I really dont know what my advertised speed is.

I would switch clients ot Azureus, because it's one of the fastest and most popular BT clients, AND it automatically opens up ports for you, AND it does a check after installation to see whether your internet settings are configured right.

If you're only getting 8 seeds and 18 peers, that file isn't very popular. That may also be another reason you are getting slow speeds.
