I sent the first drive back thinking it was the drive. Well looking into the Device Manager it was set to Pio Mode, i changed and it worked but still choppy. I then looked at the driver for the drive and it was provided by microsoft and dates back to 2001. I know that it isn't the driver thats supposed to be used. Could this be causing this crazy stuff to happen? If so how can i fix it?
