I am looking to re-set up my dvd burning computer. The one I have now is a hand-me down that has 4 Pioneer reader/writers (no idea on model #'s).

I want to set it up to have 1 Reader and 3 Writers. I alternate between the writers in hopes of making them last longer - not sure if it has worked though.
What is the best choice for each?
I am having issues with one of my current drives not accepting certain blank dvd discs - is that normal or a sign of the drive going bad?
Any ideas would be greatly appreicated.
