I have an unusual problem.

My system keeps locking up.

I have solved the problem by
dropping my cpu from (1ghz-133fsb sdram-133) to (500mhz-66fsb sdram-66)
(ouch!!!!!!)

I'm trying to narrow my problem.
Could it be ram, video card, or cpu running hot?

It's a "1Gig", Intel decided to make a 133fsb with a 7.5 multiplier instead of it's usual 100fsb and 10 multiplier

No strange noise, fans are running fine.

I removed the cpu heatsink, cleaned it and reaplied a thin layer of gook

Booted into mem86 and found no problems

CPU doesn't go above 115-120Farenheit

I have a copper core heatsink
Fan runs at 5600RPMs (not very quiet)

When burning DVDs from images, encoding or transcoding video, or running constantly for about 1-2 hours it will lock up.
