I have a movie on my hard drive with he size of 7.4 GB and with the following formats video_ts.ifo
video_ts.bup
video_ts.vob ....etc

Standard DVD-R supports only 4.7 GB, I want to know how can I burn the whole movie on to DVD-R? I don't know anything about DVD burning from Hard drive files. for your info, I have a good pc with DVD/RW Combo Drive. If some body explaines the procedure, appreciated.

mpuram1,

mmmmmm....

I think you have a bit of a problem.

I won't go into great detail here, because you have mentioned 2 possible "mis matches".

These being DVD-R & DVD/RW. Please check to make sure your burner will burn the DVD-R type media, (not all do) DVD/RW drives are a lot more fussy.

Anyway I am assuming you have used a program like Smartripper or DVD Decrypter to get the files onto your hard drive.

You will need to get the following programs loaded onto your PC :-

Ifoedit
Rempeg
DVD Calculator
(Plus software to burn a DVD something like Nero)

Load you ifo file into Ifoedit, create a *.cffl file for Rempeg.

Open up the DVD calculator fill in the details. (this is so you will know what "Scale factor" to use in Rempeg)

Open up Rempeg load you *.cffl file. Enter the scale factor (this will reduce the size of the files just enough to squeeze onto a DVD-R)

BE WARNED, DEPENDING ON THE POWER OF YOUR PC, THIS CAN TAKE IN EXCESS OF 24HRS.

With the resultant file, open up Ifoedit, and "re mux" the files back.

After this you should have a set of files small enough to burn.

PS The above description is fairly simplistic. Go here for some detailed guides www.doom9.org

Are you sure that you have a DVD burner and not just a DVD CDRW combo drive?
