Hi All, thanks for any help in Advance ..reposted in the ADCANCED section, as I got no responce when posting this in the beginner posts.

Ive recently got a entire new P4 system.... After installing everything, burning was fine, but Ive recently started getting an issue in Nero 6..

Details are... I create a DVD volume in Nero. Start burning a 4X on my Trusty Shintaro 4X media... It correctly reports it will take around 12 mins. After 12 minutes its only 20% burnt, and is taking 35 to 40 mins to burn DVD at 4X...

My observations are the nero DVD8X drive buffer bounces between 30% and 90% very rapidly, and the burner light flashes normal for 3 seconds, then pauses for 3 seconds. This pattern continus for the entire duration. And is obviously is whats delaying the entire operation.

My OS install is fresh and proper. I run latest NERO 6, and also have Blindwrite installed (never had an isue with the two before). All drives set for preferred DMA access...

Blindwrite successfully writes a 8X in 5 mins no problem, but I usually avoid burning a this speed for cmpatibility reasons. Nero recode also burns smothly at 4X, or 2X with its new HQ mode forcing 2X speed.

But a majority of my NON Movie DVD's are burnt with 4X in NERO so this stop/start buffer effect is annoying..

I cant find any other posts with this same issue

any ideas..

Note: Ive since turned off DLA, which installed with Sonic MyDVD6, then rebooted, which is desktop recording style tool like DirectCD.
And are still having the same problem.
