Dbminter: to follow up on your previous post. I backed up a movie using Recode keeping movie and menu intact and replaced extras with the image "Video has been removed". When I put the finished backup up in my dvd player it froze on the image "video has been removed". I couldn't fast forward, skip to menu or anything. All buttons on my remote were frozen. Couldn't even eject the disk; until I unplugged the player waited a few minutes; plugged it back in and then hit eject on the player.

Did I backup impropers or do you think it is just my dvd player acting up to cause everything to freeze?

No way of knowing until you test on other DVD players, on other people's PC's, or on your own with other player software. Of course, the PC will generally be more fault tolerant and play more discs than a standalone will.

laboy , did you read my post .. i am having a simular problem - only difference is that my player didn't totally freeze as you said yours did but it did stall at the image you described on 3 different players and only way to continue playing the movie was to push the disc menu button - and thats it - it started playing the movie - very strange - but i sent off an email to Nero about it and i'll report back (if they do - and if they have any comments ) i've been doing this for 3 years now and haven't seen anything like it - must be a bug in the disable feature ...

WAJAX and dminter: I believe my DVD player is the problem. The disk played fine on my computer DVD allowing me to access movie ane menu. When I tried to access extras the "Video has been removed" screen popped up, but I was able to easily escape back to main movie or menu. As Dminter said some standalones are more finicky than others. Don't know if I can give Nero all the blame for this one....
