I hope your not talking about Xcopy, because you could have gotten far better stuff for free.

From what I understand Xcopy is no longer in business? I used it once upon a time, and that's how I found this place. I now use Dvdshrink and dvddecryptor. Far better than xcopy in my opinion not to mention they're both free. You can find guides for both at the top. Or find Scuba Pete's instructions and you'll be burning in 5 minutes.

At the top of the page. Third tab over is "GUIDES". Click on that tab for guides. Here are guides to dvdshrink: http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php

For dvddecryptor I would use Scuba Pete's. His will have you burning in 5 minutes: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124000

Anybody know the main difference between DVD -R and +R?

No major difference between +/- R media. -R is usually more compatible with older players. If you still want to activate your X Copy software, try the X copy forum. They may be able to help.

Good luck.

corym - You'll probably need both eventually. Shrink helps compress files that are larger than 4.3gb and decryptor burns the file to your dvd. I personally prefer to use Shrink to burn a copy to my hard drive then decryptor to burn to dvd. Alot use Shrink to Nero, decryptor to shrink to decryptor, etc. There are a lot of good paid for programs also.

As to -/+ R, Jerry746 is correct. I don't believe there are much differences anymore. I believe some of the older standalones prefered one over the other. I do believe the older version PS2's would only read -R.
