i got a ide adapter that would like to connent my hp200i dvd burner to laptop ,but when i do this it says(USB MASS STORAGE DEVICE)
DOES NOT SEE BURNER ,do i need to buy a External Case?

what windows are you using as on my computer with win98se that is what my external hd comes up as after loading driver
