Ok,i have a Sony Vaio and the monitor that i got with it worked fine up until i went on vacation and came back home to find that the screen was black but the power light indicater was green.I also found out while i was gone there were bad thunderstorms,which may have made the power go out and screwed it up,i dont know.It might be stuck in standby,is there anyway to get it out?And yes everything is plugged in,i have an extra monitor that works just fine.Can anyone help me please?

if extra monitor works on computer than circuit board on ild monitor took a hit, might be fixable so take it in to see if they do free estimates but look at cost of new 17" in relation to cost of fixing old monitor
