freq707 it can be the games that feezes. so look for a splinter cell DA thread and see if it's working for other ppl.
or try to burn it in a new DVD-R.

i looked it up.didnt fnd anything.
i have a game backup that was downloaded from the net, which has only ever frozen once
then i have another that i ripped directly from my xbox, NFS.Underground, which freezes in the same location every single time-at the start of a race just after they say go.
am i ripping the game wrong or bruning it incorrectly.
what prgrams are best recommended for this?
i used craxtion to rip,create the iso and patch it
and DVD Decrypter to write it. its on a DVD+R. help?

I use DVD-R only and Nero or DVD Decrypter to write it.
FlashFXP to FTP the game to the PC
Qwix to make the iso(and I do not patch them)

well
i tried just now a DVD+R still, but used flash fxp to copy all contents of disk(b4 i used carxtion's 'rip disk' option) and then used qwix to make the iso, and Nero 7 to burn it
SUCCESS!
it works flawlessly
thanks heaps
i hope all my games work now

ok
wait
this is now an issue with ALL of the games i have burnt
they freeze. not extremely often, but often enough to annoy you when ur are 3/4 through a level
grr.lol
does anyone know why this happens!
the load perfectly all the time,but at random spots the lock up and cause me to restart my xbox to continue playin.then they freeze up again in like 10-15mins.
this is 4 games that do it,the only 4 i have burnt(only got my chip a week ago)

Next time try to edit your post.
I do not know why they are freezing.(try to search)
It can be your xbox.(the bios for the modchip)
or the DVD+R(try DVD-R)

oh, sorry! :]
i think it may be my bios to, because
when i turn on my xbox, it doesnt boot anything, just a black screen
and then, if its in the mood, when i open the disk tray, its boots up to the xbox logo (blue because its hacked)
majority of times, disk tray wont open so i havta turn box off then back on like 5times until it works.
once it boots, everything works perfectly though
i booted up my xbox with the chip turned off....no problems
but i have a 1.6b xbox so culd only find 1 bios that worked on it. and it was 'unofficial'
and help?
does anyone have an official bios that runs well on 1.6b?
can anyone email it to me?

Hi I have been doing a ton of reading and actually managed to get my xbox softmodded with xbmc and dvd2xbox (not tested). I have also been able to very easily manage to FTP to my xbox and do anything I need thanks to this guide. The problem is that I have been making nothing but coasters for backups or so I thought. I have a samsung drive (2 holes in tray) and my dash is 3935. I used the softmod deluxe 4.5 to mod the xbox. I can not seem to get anything to play though. First I was using DVD+R media and read that may not work so I grabbed a DVD-R and it almost worked except it made the disk an auido disk? I then went and bought some DVD-R and DVD-RW and I got one of them to actually detect as a game. When I run it on the other hand it freezes on the evox logo. I then tried to play a different disk (which shows as unknow on my box) on a friends modded xbox and it worked fine. We both are using softmods. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

I think it has to do with your softmoded xbox. Go to a softmod thread for help.

Alright I got it working. Must have been the media? Some reason it read better in his box which does not have a samsung drive. I burned it again and it worked granted it freezes (think this is a backup/xpe patch issue).

yes there is some DVD-R mediam that only work on some xbox's.
I use Qwix to make the iso and do not patch the xpe.

Hi
I am trying to backup xbox game using a Samsung drive with Kreon .81 firmware. I read so much my head is spinning. So many diferent software and method, it is amazing. Last weekend I modded my xbox 1.6 with the DuoX lite modchip and installed the slayer 2.7 dashboard (at least I think I did). I inserted the slayer dashboard dvd I burned and click install on manufacturer HD. Files were copied for a minute or so and the screen went back to the install screen.
Anyway...
For the last two evenings I tried for the first time to back up an xbox game (Fable). After trying several methods, I finally settled for the extract with XBOX backup creator 2.4/patch and create ISO with Craktion 4.0 and; burn with Nero method. It produced the closest to a working XBOX game I ever got to. It boots and start loading but when the loading is at 99.9% done, I get and error saying that my game has a problem and the disk is either scratch or damage. When I insert the original, everything works OK.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this error, beside a scratch or damage disk...? and also to stop my head from spinning, is the method I am using OK or is there better one out there?

Fable
Problem: Game does not work from DVD when backed up with Craxtion 4.
Solution: Use Craxtion 3 or Qwix to back up game.
Fixed by: I dunno. Me?

Yes, but you can try DVD FAB PLATINUM 3 free for 30 days which will auto decrypt and iso or other formats for the PSP/X BOX games on clone, or other categories. Also has Data for older worn dvds or dvdr's, and does a good job of filling in missing info and skipping errors.. javascript:ol('http://www.dvdfab.net/mlink/download.php?g=PLATINUM'); They are going HD on the updated version soon for HD DVD +/- R/RW. You should take a free ride for 30 days. I use it on X Box Games and its so simple. Check the circle or question mark in right top corner for any questions. Its great! respect.. miker3x
