thinking about upgrading my heatsink and fan and i thought i would ask for recomendations! could you tell me where i can find one that works well with my motherboard and CPU?

Yeah, ddp is right. One of the latter Volcano series should serve you well.

If you want to go really hardcore with things go ahead and get a nice copper heat sink from thermalright and slap a panaflo 120mm on top. For the cfm and noise level you can't beat it. I'd also read around for reviews on them with your paticular CPU.

ok! i did some research on the volcano series coolers but the sites i went to didn't list an application for the athlon 64 mine is a socket 754 so i found another brand that would fit the 754 it's a Zalman Ultra Quiet it comes with either a 92mm or 120mm fan i'm thinking about the 120mm. my question is has anyone tried one of these?
any info would be great!!

one of the threads here or all other topics mentioned the zalmon heatsink/fan but go with 120mm if got room as it is 4.72in across
