That's just because your drive hasnt spun back up yet probably.
Thats common on discs with bad sectors.

Elf burned at .7x for me and came out with no audio. I was trying to read (write to the hdd) a burned version of Shrek 2 and it stopped at 46%. Did the same with Shrink too.

to all you guys trying to rip and do other task at the same time of course it is going to slow down you should just walk away when it is decrypting unless you have a dual processor comp where you can tell it to use one processor for some task and the other for other task. decrypting is hard on a system.let your comp have all it resourses when doing a backup look at your cpu usage during a backup.

the new decrypter worked fine for resident evil. the whole process still took the same amount of time as it did before. maybe there's something wrong with your computers, or you're multi-tasking? i always step away from the computer when i'm backing up dvd's. doesn't take long! haha

@ punx777
It's perfectly normal for Decrypter to slow down when it encounters read erros and that is what's happening with when decrypter tries to read the bad sectors that are part of this new protection. After it gets past the bad sectors it'll take a bit for the drive to spin back up to full speed.
