I recently changed from Verizon DSL to Optimum Online Cable. I heard cable was faster and Verizon is nortorious for handing out subpoenas for file sharers.

As soon as I did this I had lots of problems with my router and keeping my network online. I'm writing this note on Firefox 1.0, cause my IE6 doesn't work anymore.

It's annoying, but what is worse is that my tornado is freezing. I don't know what the problem is. I was getting much higher DL speeds with the cable than my DSL, but then a little while later in Task Manager I'd see BT sucking up all the resources, and the GUI was totally frozen.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I would like to be able to start my dl before I go to work and then have it finished when I get home (like I used to).
