Hi,

I have a 5.15 Gb mpeg movie file that I want to get onto one 4.7GB DVD. Any easy way to shrink it by 0.45Gb's?

Hi there,

Step 1:

Use VSO DivXtoDVD to convert your 1 MPG file to DVD file format.

Step 2: If the end result is bigger than 4.5 Gb, then use DVDShrink to shrink it down to fit on a DVD-5.

Both software are free...

Now of course, this is if you want to watch this movie on your DVD player.

If it's just to keep it on MPG format, to back it up, you will need a Video Splitter.
Sorry never used one, so can't suggest anything...

The easiest way is to use DVDXCopy Plat. with upgrade. Just hit the buttom Simple and check the box Entire Movie. you will have a movie with 200' in the regular 4.7 GB DVD. Of course, you must have the register version of DVDXCopy Plat. first.
