How to Finalize DVD-R Disks using NERO 6.3.1.18

I have a NEC 3500AG with the latest firmware 2.18. Every time I try to burn with the multisession off (so it's a final disk in other words), the buffer stays at zero and the progress meter stays at 0.

I am running:
P4 2.4
512 DDR
40 GB 7200 HD
Win XP Pro.

My media is Ridata - R05 DVD-R 8X.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Help would be much appreciated. I am really tired of getting coasters from trying to finalize the disks.

Hi there,

One thing I can say, every new versions of Nero, they fix some bugs and recognize new burners.

Nero Burning Rom is now at v6.6.0.5

Maybe try the latest version will help solve a few issues ! ?

oh I forgot to mention that I tried all the latest Nero versions and i get the same type of error. I used 6.3.1.12, a lot of various 6.6.x.x series. The reason i resorted back to using 6.3.1.18 was because the store i bought the burner from recommended that program.

Unfortunately, it still didn't solve my problem.
