I was going crazy trying to figure out what to do to get a 8 gb dvd on 1 dvd. Then I figured why not try to just burn the movie and no extras. So,
1.I went to dvd decrypter.
2.went to mode and clicked file to see what the normal movie is
3. saved all files above vts_02_0.bup to file on computer (about 4 gb)
then went into nero and followed wizard on burning new dvd
went to the folder where the files were saved and dragged them to the video folder
4. burned the dvd and it works on computer and dvd player.

Just the movie and the chapter/menu but isn't that what we really want? perfect video and sound with no editing. Whew!

I don't care for the extras, etc. Just play the movie- yah!

(jamie8163) Sounds pretty simple could you be more specific (step By step) Sounds like you are leaving out something compared to all the guides out there? I am like you only care about the movie as thats all i watch.. If what you did is that simple then your my link to all this stuff... Thank You.

hi there,
hey you sound very simple. can you please also guide me to about how to burn dvd files with nero. Because when i decrypt files from dvd and put it in nero...nero just doesnt burn anything with my dvd writer dvr105.

It really was simple.

I am now trying to cut a movie in half (Lord of the Rings) to put on 2 dvds.

Following Fukhead's Backup Method 3

To burn just the movie without extras to 1 dvd

1.open dvd decrypter
2.click on mode and go to file (this will highlight the files in movie only.
you need to also highlight the any other ifo, vob and bup files that are above the main movie file. I don't know exactly what they are, but I tried to burn without them and nero error came up and said files missing.)
3. click on dvd icon to decrypt or click on file and decrypt.
wait for files to decrypt.
4.Open Nero
5.Nero wizard
6.click on dvd
7.next
8.click on compile new dvd
9.next
10.click on other dvd format
11.next
12.click on dvd-video
13.next
15.finish
16.find the folder where you put the files decrypted from dvd decrypter
17.drag them to the video folder on the left
If they are correct you won't get any error messages (LOL)
18.then click on the burn icon
19.click on write

This should burn the movie to dvd and it will be able to play in most dvd players.

I hope I covered all the steps.
I'm sure if I missed any, someone smarter at this than I will add it.
I was able to split Lord of the Rings to 2 dvds with great quality and sound using
Fukhead's Backup Method 3

and I had great luck shrinking monsters ball to 1 dvd with
Rob's CCE w/ CCE Guesser Guide
( it has a lot of steps, but it worked great)

hey, i have followed your step by step guide and i was successful to burn the dvd too. The problem is that guide burned an ifo dvd. and this dvd is not playable in my dvd player which usually plays all my dvdrs.
what should be wrong?
