Hi all -
new to the forum & to dvd creation in general so.....go easy :)
I'm hoping you may be able to help with this problem -
I have a movie file I'd like to burn to dvd - it's an AVI file in divX. I've tried converting it using Cucusoft Converter, choosing AVI to DVD in the options menu.
The resulting file is now an mpeg file & an M2V file, but I can't burn it with Nero as apparently I need them to be TS files.
Any advice on how to proceed from here?
Ta.

Why not just use NeroVision Express (part of Nero Suite) and burn directly to DVD? Just follow the wizard, and it'll create a DVD-compliant video with the VIDEO_TS folder and IFO, VOB, and BUP files for you.

It's fine where it is. I'll close the duplicate in newbies :)

OK -
I got the file converted to its neccesary components.
I'm now the proud owner of:
VIDEO_ TS. BUP
VIDEO_ TS. IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB

.......burning procedure was fine, no hitches there.
BUT - the resulting DVD won't play in either my machine or my p.c!!!
I get Disc Error on my machine - it just won't load it.
Could this be because there's no menu? If so, how do I correct this?
I should mention that the original file plays perfectly - even though it was a Kazaa download.
Cheers.

Did you burn the entire VIDEO_TS folder with all the VOB/IFO/BUP files contained within, which is the correct way, or just the files themselves - which won't be recognized as a playable DVD?

Thanks.
I put the VIDEO_ TS. BUP &
VIDEO_ TS. IFO into the VIDEO-TS folder in Nero & the rest just into the space underneath.
Is this why it didn't work then?

When I put the all into the Video TS folder, though, I get a message saying Allocation failed.....

"....From the Error Report -

I'm wondering - should all the VOB files be the same size? 2 of them are 1,024 MB and one is 210MB.

Dogbomb, I have taken your sage advice. Much easier. Ta.
