I am having problems writing DVDs using DVD Decrypter. I am receiving the error message below, any help would be greatly appreciated - cheers.

I/O Error!

Device: [1:0:0] Philips DVD+RW SDVD6004 0.99 (D:) (ATA)

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00
Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 0 - 31

Sense Area: 70 00 02 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 00 30 11 00 00 00
Interpretation: Cannot Format Medium - Unsupported Medium Write Speed

First question.
Are you using a +R or +RW disc?

Then.

You must be trying to use a write speed that is not supported.

Mode > ISO > Write
Put in a blank disk
After it is ready, look in the status window at the Supported Write Speeds.

Below that the Settings > Write Speed selection should be MAX or one of the above Supported Write Speeds.

I am using DVD+R, and the writing speed was set to Max. I later tried changing it to 2x, which was the stated maximum speed supported. In both cases I received the error message.

Try updating the firmware for your burner. Also try a different brand of media.
