Ok here goes,
I (like everyone else) couldnt use Shrink to backup this movie. So i read quite a bit and tried AnyDVD.

I guess it worked. When i put the disc in, it said it had removed the protection instantly. I then went into Shrink and it sailed right through the DVD and copied fine. I even watched it and no problems.

Now heres the question, How does it rip through it instantly, and do i need Shrink after?
Or can i use this AnyDVD and then burn right from Nero?

If anyone has some first hand knowledge about this software please advise. If its THAT good, maybe i will dig deep into the pockets and purchase it.

I still cant decide if i want to purchase software that you can get free though..

The running guy in the yellow shorts and green shirt sucks!!( i think we all know what im talking about)

Hi there,

AnyDVD is a driver that runs in the background.

Basicly, it will remove all protection before your application sees it.

Now most DVD are over 7Gb, and blank media (Single Layer) can only store 4.3Gb on them.

This is why we use DVDShrink to compress the DVD to fit on a DVD-5 (Single Layer) DVD Blank.

If you have a Dual Layer Burner, and a Dual Layer Media, yes, you could run AnyDVD and burn directly to your Dual Layer Media.

But after reading a lot in here, no one suggests to do a DVD to DVD burn on the fly.
