First i have a heat problem i have 2 fans blowing in 2 blowing out a p4 3ghz which runs with nothing open at 64 to 68 c i changed the fan did not get any better probaly worse tryed artic silver compund no difference mother board temp 28-32

is heatsink properly seated & tight to cpu & board. check intel faq site(if 1) to see if normal as i've read here & another forum site that prescotts run almost as hot as amd chips

It used to run at a constant 38 to 46 c on its own with gsames or dvd 55-59 I did not change any thing it just started all of a sudden . Its firmly seated changed paste etc 4 case fans air way clear.

possible onboard temp sensor screwed up. if possible try in another board to see what temp is whether normal or high like now

tryed it runs at 35-38 with nothing open 49-44 in games just my system whats hot

make certain have clear air flow thru case, all fans are running properly & if possible try another p4 psu just in case sending to much power to system, so almost like overclocking but is not

All fans seem fine. not got another p4. I tryed diiferent psu but did not make no diference

is there a fan on case back right behind cpu/heatsink/fan & is it pulling air out of case or into case??

after using computer for a while, feel the heatsink to see if hot or warm to see if temp sensor is reading true or not.

half solved by puting 1 of the back case fans blowin in and 1 blowin out which has made it 35-37 c but the case temperature is now 38c but maybe because o9f the radeon 9800 pro

put an agp slot fan by the video card to help pull hot air from video card. does video card have fan & spinning right??

video card his fine. fan fine but reading reviews on it apparently it gives off lots off heat and its huge as well almost reaches my hard drive
