I cant hear any audio on movie downloads, pls help

The thing is i downloaded several movies using bitlord and i've already encountered 3 movies which the video works fine...but there are no audio. the format of the movie is avi, i'm guessing i need some encoding to hear the audio? any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks

google and download GSpot. it is a really nice freeware proggie that will tell you the video and audio codec a vid uses, as well as other helpful info.

run ad-aware se & spybot s&d before & after downloading & running program

at least he can't come back at you & say it had spyware in the program

i downloaded GSpot but i'm still not able to play the audio of the movies. It always happen when the movie is a video clip. All the movie clips movie works fine though. Any idea whats wrong?

oh btw i am using windows media player 10 to play them.

Well, GSpot just tells you what video and audio codec the vid is encoded in. It doesn't come with any codecs. What you do is open GSpot and select the vid that is playing silently. It will tell you the audio codec, and whether you have one installed on your pc, but you have to do the leg work and search for one if its not already installed on your pc.
