anyone know anything about the 'nero digital' format? mpeg4 encoding with a bunch of 'expert' options, some including increasing resolution to HD level (seemingly by browsing the support docs)?

is this better quality than mpeg2? i'm new here but couldn't find anything related with a forum search,.

surely you couldn't 'increase' the resolution of a digital video, so i'm just wondering if this is worth investigating further or not,.

Nero Digital is basically an MPEG4 codec that Nero developed. Mpeg4 requires much less space than Mpeg2. The only problem you may run into is finding a compatible player...
