I've installed win xp and now my win me is gone how do i add it again to the boot.ini win me is installed on C:

Here is a copy of mine, which dual-boots XP and 2000:

[boot loader]

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

However, you have said that your WinME is on C:
Therefore, I trust your new WinXP is on another partition or another drive :-)
If your XP is on C: your WinME is history...

Yes, my buddy dual-boots XP and Win98SE, and his boot.ini refers to 98 just like that.
Sorry I can't be more precise (my memory!) but I believe you are on the right track :-)
