What is a .ts-pot file?!

What does .ts-pot mean?!

How can I convert this into something viewable on a standalone DVD player?!

Is an intermediary step necessary, such as .ts-pot to DivX?

Thanks for your help!

that will transfer it to VOB ifo bup files to burn onto a dvd with nero6 or similair

That sounds really useful, but do you know of any guides that could walk me through the options?! Otherwise could you write one?!

I thought it might help you make a more relevant suggestion if I told you what I could see:

(Film = Elektra).

1 - Folder = Elektra.TS-POT

2 - Contents of Elektra.TS-POT:
2a - Folder = CD1
2b - Folder = CD2
2c - Folder = Sample
2a - File = pot.elektra (MSInfo Document)

3 - Contents of CD1:
3a - File = pot-elektra01.r00
3b - File = pot-elektra01.r01
3c - File = etc (pattern continued, all files = 14,649 KB

Do you have any idea which application I should use to turn those files (33 in both folders!) into something readable by a standalone DVD player?!

I downloaded WinRAR and took another look inside my folder (Elektra.TS-POT).

I saw the same folders, CD1 and CD2.

Using WinRAR to look inside CD1, I saw the following (explanation below):

CD1

pot-elektra01.rar - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r00 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r01 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r03 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r04 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r05 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r06 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r07 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r08 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r09 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r10 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r11 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r12 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r13 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r14 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r15 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r16 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r17 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r18 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r19 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r20 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r21 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r22 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r23 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r24 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r25 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r26 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r27 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r28 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)
pot-elektra01.r29 - WinRAR archive (Size: 15,000,000)

pot-elektra01.r30 - R30 File (Size: 14,439,571)
pot-elektra01.sfv - SFV File (Size: --,---,947)

I saw almost the same, using WinRAR to look inside CD2, except for the

following size difference:

pot-elektra02.r30 - R30 File (Size: -1,444,771)

Returning to CD1, I test extracted pot-elektra01.r01 to another folder and

achieved the following results:

pot-elektra01.bin - BIN File (Size: 479,436,384)
pot-elektra01.cue - CUE File (Size: ---,---,125)

How do I now proceed (Goal 1: Make playable, Goal 2: Make playable on

standalone DVD player)?

either burn it to disk with Nero or use alcohol or damon tools to mount a vd and extract the contents of the bin. i bet it will end up being a VCD (mp1) or SVCD (mp2).

You give some options, which is nice, but do not explain them. Can you explain what you have suggested and how to do what you have suggested?!

Anyone else come up with better?!

use Nero its simple
I am explaining here using Nero 6

open nero
choose cd
close that box down then by clicking on the x at the top right corner
up at the very top choose recorder
choose burn image
find the bin or cue file I cannot remember which it is you choose to burn but it will ONLY show either the bin or the cue file click it and choose ok
then burn it on a blank cd like you would anything else

same with cd2

keep us informed

Ok. I have deleted the virtually mounted folders and kept those I have extracted with WinRAR, that contain the massive BIN and small CUE files.

The reason I am being so particular is because I am considering a guide, upon successful completion.

I have got Nero 6.3.1.11.

Now please allow me to address your steps.

1 - open nero: Done.
2 - choose cd: Done.

From my taskbar, I have clicked the Nero icon and NeroStartSmart has opened.

3 - close that box down then by clicking on the x at the top right corner: There is not one.

Not being able to complete step 3, I continue without closing.

4 - up at the very top choose recorder: Impossible. The options I see are: Favourites, Data, Audio, Photo and Video, Copy and Backup, Extras.

Not being able to complete step 4, I continue without closing.

5 - choose burn image: Impossible. As I was not able to choose recorder, I choose Copy and Backup because it contains the nearest option to yours: Burn Image to Disc.

Now I am immediately faced with a browser window, asking me to open. File name is naturally blank, as I have opened nothing. File type is All Nero compilations and images.

Nothing is shown in my extracted files and I cannot open, using the File type All Files, because that will obviously present all files and not simply those needed.

Somewhere I have misunderstood what you meant, so can you please clarify?

jlrm,

forget Nero for now and get Alcohol 120% by clicking the link on Alcohol 120%

Install it, restart your cmputer and open Alcohol 120%.

On the left hand side, you should see a bar with links on it

clik on the one that says "Image Burning Wizard"

Then click on Browse when the window pops up and select your .cue file (pot-elektra01.cue) and click Open

Then insert your Blank CD-R and wait for it to get ready

Then click Next

Niw select your Burner, Your write speed, and check Write NOT SIMULATION!

Then you should see "Datatype" on the bottom and next to it, you should see a menu. From that menu, select Normal CD

To confirm that everything went fine, you should have

these things checked:

Write
Enable Buffer Underrun Technology
Rectify Sub-Channel Data (this should be grayed out)

these things should be unchecked:

Using Multiple CD/DVD Recorders
Simulation
Don't Close the last Session of current Disk
Burn "RMPS" to recordable media (this should be grayed out)

So once you have all that done, Click Start and wait for your CD to be finsihed!

Now You have successfully completed Goal 1 for CD 1 of Elektra!! Use the same method for CD 2 of Elektra and you'll be able to watch both CDs on your copmuter...now for the DVD...
