Sometimes when I copy a disc (dvd-r) or original I may get a read error because of a scratch or whatever (not an intentional protection) it seems this is a death nail in copying the disc because the software (clonedvd2) will just complain... what is the correct way to work around a read error? is there a way the software will just pad the sector with a blank and move on ?

One more thing I've ran across if your using 2 drives one to read one to write and your getting read errors try using your burner to read and write my dvd rom drive does not like burned D5 media. It does fine with DL media(d9).
Rhino is right give decrypter a try, I have not found a movie yet it would not run threw. If the disk has bad scratches you may want to try to resurface it DiskDoctor ect, ect.

Good Luck

I have a Skip Dr and it has worked on every scratched
disc I've tried. I just wish I'd got the motorized version instead of the manual one!
