i use bitcomet and i have a 10 MB DSl connection with a Linksys Wrt45G. i heard someone getting of 100 KBps download speed with a 1 MB connection. but mine only goes to about 15-30. i did everything including port fowarding and firewall.... how can i improve my speed???
normally i have about 5-20 seeders in swarm and nly 6-10 are connected.
i have the SP2 firewall running but i do not know how to turn it off. could you please tell me?
i got the security service disadled but when i got to control pane and doucle click on windows firewall, it says:
Windows firewall settings cannot be displayed because the assoicated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service?
i clicked on yes and then it said:
Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service.
it may not be able to start it because a dependancy isn't started, maybe you should of done it the other way round
go back into services and right click internet connection sharing ICS - and click on properties, then click on the dependancies tab, see what services it depends on - and then start them, just for now.
i cant reach the firewall but i am preety sure it is already disabled.
cause now my speeds are 125KBbs and are going up as i type.
i think the security center did the trick.
