Hi Guys,

I recently upgraded my pc to win2000 from win98. I have an internal philips dvdrw that I use externaly with my laptop through a usb enclosure. On windows 98 it has always worked. But can't get it up and running with windows 2000. I plug it in and the sytem seems to recognise it. In otherword it shows up as a cdplayer on a g drive. I then try to load the installation disk but i get the message the software can't find my dvdrw416. When i go into device manager it is there and it says it is working correctly...but its a microsoft driver....could this be the problem.

any help would be great.

thanks,

Barry
