My brand new Rodney Carrington cd won't load let alone be reconized by my computer. Is there a new protection to hack do any of you know how to get around this.

there's many forms of copy protection out now. First, try holding down the shift key when you insert the CD. That will prevent the cd from autostarting and installing programs to prevent playing and ripping. Here's the thread for copy protected CDs:

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
