I just took out my dvd+recorder 4 inspection and now i can not get it 2 read on my computer with out having 2 clear everything on my computer and i need 2 save some files i dowloaded!!

is drive recognised in the bios or windows, is there an exclamation mark in device manager!!

What did you do different from taking it out to putting it back in?

Ribbon cable with red wire closest to the 4 pin power connector?

Uninstall your Burner in device manager and then reboot once again for it to find it.

i agree with scubabud, try going into your device manager and uninstalling it and then reboot for it detect new hardware... mae sure it is also recognized in your bios and activated.
