Memorex DVD Burners - Quality/Performance?

Does anyone have experience with Memorex DVD burners? All I can find are discussions about Memorex media.

I am interested in buying the new Sony DRU-720A or the Memorex 16x16 (releasing this month). I saw some great reviews on Pioneer, Memorex, and Sony burners in PC World. The Pioneer has a odd style of drawer that would keep me from installing it in my Sony Vaio PC - but it does have a high-end look!!
