My burner I chose for my computer is called a BenQ. It is an external, I have had it for about 1 month and burnt as over 20 DvDs and the copies look just like the original movies. It is an 8x dvd -+ rw dvd/cd burner and the red light moves so fast on it you can't even see the green light flashing!!. Believe me dont waste your money on a $100-300 dollar burner you could get a BenQ for only $68.99 for everything!! shipping and all!. I have read alot of good comments on this burner and it seems to work out for me real good!. I have a e-machine and I have Windows Xp. I have USB 2.0 and it works really good on the newer versions of USB. You could use it on a USB 1.1 but it wont burn just as fast!. I have also read about the best burning software and the best one to use is DvD Decrypter and DvD Shrink, there is a new protection out called the Sony Arcoss protection but Dvd Decrypter and Shrink breaks it!.
